A Mother’s Poem

September 28th, 2009

Here is a beautiful poem about the wonderful world of motherhood.

Little baby so sweet and soft
With your hair gently curled
Holding you is my favorite time
When I feel at peace with the world

Your little life has impacted me so
And I realize I need nothing more
The day you were born was the greatest day
A gift from above I will always adore.

How sweet you’re little face
Even when you fuss and cry
Causes my heart to instantly melt
And my arms to quickly supply

When I dream of your future
I want only what is best
I promise to be there always
Ready to help and suggest

As you grow and spread your wings
I’m sure I will certainly lack
But I will do my best to give support
And never try to hold you back

Today, however, as we sit and rock
I close my eyes and feel complete
My baby so close to my heart
I savor the sweetness of this treat.
