Growth spurts often get the blame for a whole host of puzzling behaviors, from stepped-up feedings to sleep disruptions and sudden fussiness. Babies grow astonishingly fast. By their first birthday they will have tripled their birth weight and grown eight to ten inches.
The Big Sister and Me Dress Set not only would take care of Big sis and baby now but later when you little baby hits those growth spurts she will have another dress hanging in that closet waiting for her once again!

Babies cry for many reasons. They may be tired, uncomfortable, bored or hungry. So how do new moms tell the difference? If your new infant sheds no tears this probably means your baby’s trying to tell you something, but that they are most likely not in distress.
Newborns don’t shed tears because their tear ducts haven’t fully formed. But after about a month and their tear ducts have a chance to develop, they will cry for various reasons.
Soon you will be able to tell why your new little one is crying and what to do to help them. If your child is dry and fed then maybe your baby just needs some stimulation. A colorful Baby Velour Playmat with four colorful faces will give your baby a visual friendly environment to lay down with. This well keep your baby happy and eyes busy for awhile. There is also the Baby Crawl Mat with colorful sounds and lights that will surely get your babies attention.
In some cases, tearless crying can be a sign of something more serious, like dehydration. So, make sure your giving your baby enough fluids. If the problem persists, your child’s tear ducts may be blocked and you might want to gently massage the inside corners of your baby’s eyes.

Out-of-home child care for infants, if done right, can enrich children’s early experiences. For the infant in care, the type of group the child is placed in is crucial. It can’t be like preschool, and it can’t ignore the fact that children are affected by groups. Infant care structures and policies must clear the way for rich relationships to develop, and groups must be formed that foster intimacy.
If you find yourself in the position of caring for a newborn infant, be sure that they have activities that promote mental and physical growth. The Wooden Lace Up Toy helps promote manual dexterity and are bright in color to stimulate the infants awareness to colors. Wooden Farm Block Toys also help in their creativity growth. We carry both of those here at Brown Eyed Baby Boutique.
If your a parent seeking good infant care, having one caregiver over an extended period of time rather than switching every 6 to 9 months or so is important to the expansion of a child’s development. Switching from one caregive to another takes its toll. The child has to build trust all over again. When a very young child loses a caregiver, he really loses part of his sense of himself and the way the world operates. Too many changes in caregivers can lead to a child’s reluctance to form new relationships. So, mom if you have to work out of the home and put your child in infant care, be sure to look for long term care.

After conducting a study involving more than 15,000 boys and girls ages 9 to 14, the University of South Carolina recently reported that those who were breastfeed during the first year of life were less likely to become obese when they grew older–regardless of whether their mothers were overweight. Why is that? Researchers believe that one reason is because breastfed babies stop eating when they’re full, as opposed to babies who are bottle-fed and may be encouraged to finish what’s in the feeding bottle.

Helping your child grow healthy and strong is one of the delights of parenthood. And it’s a big job, especially in the first two years. Each child develops at a unique pace, and not all children will do the same things at the same time.
A few things that you might be looking for in their development the first six months are: Able to sit alone for a short time. Reach for small objects and hold them for a few seconds. Giggle alot and enjoy just about everyone around them.
Now that your baby is starting to sit up, take down mobiles strung across the crib or playpen. Check to see that your childs crib meets current safety standards, and never use pillows for your sleeping child.
Make sure you keep up on all their immunizations and keep those records in a safe place, before you know it they will be up and ready to attend school! So enjoy every minute of their infant stage and just relax!!!!

A diaper (in North America) or nappy (in the British Isles and many Commonwealth countries) is an absorbent garment worn by individuals who are incontinent, that is, lack control over bladder or bowel movements, or who are unable to reach the toilet when needed. This group primarily includes infants.
Diapers may be made of absorbent layers of cloth or terry towelling fabric, or of disposable absorbent materials. The choice to use either cloth or disposable diapers is controversial. While cloth diapers are certainly cheaper than disposables over time, environmental impact, health and convenience also play a role in the decision. However, all of the studies which started the controversy in the early 1990s were funded by Procter & Gamble, which manufactures the vast majority of disposable diapers, and was facing growing criticism at that time.
What type of diaper will you choose? Disposable or Cloth, Hybrid (part flushable part reusable) or in former times in some areas, a wad of sphagnum moss was often used as a disposable diaper.
